OCTOBER 18th 2008, SATURDAY
Overtures' "The self-pitier" has been included in the new MDD-Shop/Mailorder compilation "Kill'em'all. The compilation is available and can be ordered for FREE on the MDD website.

OCTOBER 2nd 2008, THURSDAY

The first dates for the new season has been published, Overtures will play on:

October 25th @ Whiskey a GoGo, Camino al Tagliamento (Udine - ITA);
November 8th @ Rock Club The Cave, Amsterdam (Noord-Holland - NED);
November 29th @ Frenetica Rock Cafe, S.Valentino di Brendola (Vicenza - ITA);
December 19th @ KuKe Club, Leoben (Steiermark - AUT).

More shows are scheduling and will be announced soon.
The band has also started work on the pre-production of the second album.

JULY 19th 2008, SATURDAY
After the signing with the German label Rock it up Records, Michele Guaitoli has been interviewed by the Italian webzine heavyworlds.com. You can read the interview by clicking on this link. JULY 3rd 20008, THURSDAY
Even if after almost one year from the Italian release of the album, the German label Rock it up Records got interested in "Beyond the waterfall" and offered the band a worldwide release of the CD. The agreement is actually defined and in these days Overtures will officially sign the contract with the label. "Beyond the waterfall" will be released in Germany, online and, through the Rock it Up distributors, worldwide too. The release date is still to be defined and the Italian and digital distribution will still be owned by  Videoradio.

MAY 20th 2008, TUESDAY
Tomorrow morning at 9.30am on the Italian radio "Radio Capodistria" the second edition of the Opening Band Live Contest will be introduced with an interview to the organizers. During the show some songs taken from the album "Beyond the waterfall" will be broadcasted due to the winning of the last edition by Overtures. The band is actually working on new songs: most of them has been already played in the last shows with Elvenking. In addiction to Here we fall, Not too Late and The Prophecy the new album (after the Morarock Festival pre-production will begin) will also contain "Farewell", "You can't spit on me", "Fly, angel", "My name is Fear" and other songs and ideas still in process. There are a lot of innovations that, starting from the next shows, will be brought on stage and on the sound of the band. The production of the new album will be a lot detached from the one of "Beyond the waterfall" both on the acoustic and on the stylistic sides. Moreover, new shows are being scheduled for the next season.

APRIL 28th 2008, MONDAY
"Beyond the waterfall" is now available, as well as on iTunes, on the main digital distribution channels too. Among which: Amazon.com, Napster, MTV Digital Store, Virgin Mega Store, Dee Jay Store, FnacMusic.com.

APRIL 17th 2008, THURSDAY
Overtures will feature again as Elvenking's opening act in the show scheduled on May 2nd at the Whiskey a GoGo Pub of Camino al Tagliamento (UD). That evening the band will also introduce the new merchandise.

MARCH 28th 2008, FRIDAY

FEBRUARY 4th 2008, MONDAY
The bill for the Morarock Festival 2008 has been published: Overtures are confirmed as opening act of Saturday 21st of June, followed by Steel Crown, Skanners, Extrema and, as headliners of the Morarock Festival, Primal Fear. The complete bill is available on this website in the concert section or on the website www.morarock.it. Moreover, new reviews of the album "Beyond the waterfall" have been published on Musicsquare, Musicologi, Metallus and Rockeggiando and on the magazines Metal Hammer (ITA), Metal Maniac (ITA) and Heavymetal Forces (JAP).

JANUARY 17th 2008, THURSDAY
LM Records & Crotalo Edizioni Musicali have published the "Heavy Rendez Vous Vol. III" Hard Rock & Heavy Metal compilation, featuring Overtures' new song "Here we fall". Here we fall is now also listenable (but not downloadable) on Overtures' myspace. The "Heavy Rendez Vous" is available in stores in Italy and online on LM Records' website.
