DECEMBER 12th 2007, WEDNESDAY
A new song, "Here we fall", the first recording with Andrea
Cum on drums, will be published for the first time in the "Heavy
Metal Rendez Vous vol. III" compilation, released by New LM
Records, distributed by Masterpiece and scheduled for February 2008. New LM Records has been label
of Strana Officina, Sabotage, Crying Steel and many others and
the "Heave Metal Rendez Vous" has seen in its tracklist, in the past editions,
bands like Rain, Motus Tenebrae & other relevant Italian and
European bands. Two shows
have been confirmed, both as supporting act for Elvenking: Overtures
will play on January
19th in Gorizia and on March 1st in Como. More shows are actually up to
be scheduled. Moreover, new reviews have

NOVEMBER 28th 2007, WEDNESDAY
It has been published by the Freesound Agency the Hard Rock &
Metal compilation entitled "Let me free". The
compilation includes the songs Beyond
the waterfall and Silent Observer, taken from the album
"Beyond the waterfall". As well as Overtures, "Let me free" contains tracks by "Hatred Heap", "Edenforce", "Nefesh",
"Clinicamente Morti", "Agabus" & "Logic of Denial".

January 19th 2008, Saturday, at the Rock Club of Ronchi dei Legionari (GO).
OCTOBER 27th 2007, SATURDAY
Some songs from the album "Beyond the waterfall" are going to be broadcasted
in the next days on
the amateur web-radio
DLL Radio.
OCTOBER 1st 2007, MONDAY
New interviews and articles about Overtures have been published on
magazines and webzines. An interview is now online on RawAndWild.com,
to read it click here.
On the Italian "JDM",
a
free monthly magazine about motors and music, this month there will be
an article about the band, also readable by clicking here.
Another article about Overtures will be published in October on the
"Sweet" magazine: a free journal released in Gorizia and nearby,
in collaboration with GoriziaOggi.info.
SEPTEMBER 28th 2007, FRIDAY
A new forum is online at the address http://www.overtures.it/forum. From today it will be possibile to enter
in it
by clicking on the "Link" section of this website. The new forum will totally replace the old
version.
SEPTEMBER 26th 2007, WEDNESDAY

Overtures' CD has been chosen for an online contest: this time
two copies of "Beyond the waterfall" will be award of the Raw And Wild contest on RawAndWild.com
SEPTEMBER 10th 2007, MONDAY
It is always hard to say goodbye to a friend, but people's choice must
be accepted and respected. After more than three years together Marko
Klanjscek has decided to quit the band due to some personal reasons that
are not going to be published. The most important thing is that his
decision has been accepted by the whole band and that there have been no
misunderstandings, arguments or problems of any kind. Even the last
shows already scheduled have been played while knowing about his
decision, but still with the same passion and strength. Right know,
saying thanks and goodbye to Marko, the band is proud to introduce the
new drummer Andrea Cum, coming from the hard-rock band
Dagh, and bringing with him more than 10 years of experience
on the stage. Check him on the members page.
AUGUST 31st 2007, FRIDAY

AUGUST 3rd 2007, FRIDAY
Overtures are the winners of the first edition of the "Opening Band
Live Music" contest. At the second place the band "Watashiwa
Cactus". As special guest of the evening, the show has been
concluded by "Sinestesia", band that among other things this year joined
the second day of the "Gods of Metal Festival". As award for the winning of the contest the band will play this
Saturday at the "Trieste Rock Summer Festival" in Trieste, P.zza Unità, with "Lincoln Quartet": official
Italian "Jehtro Tull" tribute band, featuring "Clive Bunker", first
original drummer of the real Jehtro Tull line-up.
JULY 29th 2007, SUNDAY
Overtures has been selected with other five bands as finalist for the
"Opening Band Live Music" contest. The final will be on August 2nd
in Piazza S. Antonio, Trieste, concerts starts at 19:30.
JULY 27th 2007, FRIDAY

JULY 15th 2007, SUNDAY
Since a few days the new Overtures' album "Beyond the waterfall"
is available on iTunes too.
JULY 12th 2007, THURSDAY
With a lot of displeasure the organization of the "Metalfest" has to communicate
the cancellation of the festival where, on this Saturday, Overtures
would have presented their new album "Beyond the waterfall".
The event has been deleted because of organizational problems absolutely
not connected with the featuring bands.
JUNE 26th 2007, TUESDAY
The new album "Beyond the waterfall" finally out in
stores in Italy now! Soon it will be released also on iTunes. Here you
can find all the shops where the album will be sold. Anyway if every place is
too far from you it will be possible to buy it online on this or Videoradio's
webiste or order it in every music shop.
JUNE 22nd 2007, FRIDAY
Overtures will be featuring the next "Free Sound Agency Hard Rock - Heavy Metal compilation"
with the songs "Beyond the waterfall" and "Silent Observer",
taken from the upcoming album "Beyond the waterfall". The
compilation, still to be announced the official release date, will have on
its tracklist eight hard rock/heavy metal bands with two songs per band
and will be produced and distributed by the Free Sound Agency
label. On Wednesday 20th June some Overtures' song have been on the air
again on "South Hampton Radio" (UK) and in the near future some songs will be on air on
"Local Radio",
a German radio from Bürgerrundfunk in Bremen.
JUNE 4th 2007, MONDAY
Overtures are the winners of the 12 edition of the Mastro Rock Contest
that after five months of "battles of the bands" has reached its end. At
the second place the band "Cash", third place for "Seventh Sense". Moreover Michele Guaitoli has been awarded as
Best vocalist of the contest and Alex Puntin from Absinth
as Best Guitarist.
MAY 23rd 2007, WEDNESDAY
Overtures have officialy signed contract with Videoradio -
Alternative Line.
Videoradio is already label of artists like "Andrea
Braido", "Faso-Meyer-Menconi (from Elio e le storie tese)"
and other Italian significant musicians. The CD, entitled "Beyond
the waterfall", is coming out in stores in Italy in July. You
will also be able to download worldwide a single track or the whole disc
from iTunes starting from
a few days after the official release. Moreover, it will be sold online
from this or Videoradio's website. "Beyond the waterfall",
first national issue of the band, contains 8 tracks for a total length
of about 40 minutes. Click on the image below to see a preview of the

constantly follow us and our shows in every situation and condition with

MAY 20th 2007, SUNDAY
The band is actually working on new songs and new dates have already
been scheduled: Overtures has reached the semi-finals of the "Mastro
Rock Contest" where they're gonna play on Saturday 26th with
Ecliptica in San Giovanni al Natisone (UD) . On June 24th the band will play at the "Morarock
Festival" in Moraro (GO) and in July on Saturday 21st the band will
take part at the "Esagon Metal Festival" in Monfalcone (GO) (this show is still to be confirmed).
APRIL 4th 2007, WEDNESDAY
The mastering process of Overtures' new CD has been completed by
Nathan Kanost at "Emery Mastering Studio" in Lawrence
(Kansas, USA): the album has finally finished its "studio production"
stage; new shows has been scheduled for this and the next months.
MARCH 15th 2007, THURSDAY
Overtures' show at "Mastro Birraio" has been moved to Friday 23th; on
Friday 30th in fact the band will be on the stage of the "Music Heart
Club" with Headquakes at the "Metal Heart Festival". Moreover
Overtures are also proud to announce that the upcoming album has entered
the last stage of its production.
FEBRUARY 18th 2007, SUNDAY
Overtures are going to be featured on some radio shows again. On
February 20th the band will be interviewed and some songs from the
upcoming album will be put on air on "Radio Onde Furlane".
The show will be listenable on streaming at 15:30 (in Italy) at this link
or at 90.00mhz in Friuli Venezia Giulia. In March the band will be
presented and some songs will be put on air on Maik Kunath's Show
"Metal Moments" on "South Hampton Radio",
listenable both in streaming on the net or by FM frequencies in the
United Kingdom. Last but not least, some songs will be put on air in the
next months on "Radio Vozuela", listenable on the FM
96.4mhz
frequencies in the center and north of Portugal, during the show "Metal Morfose",
broadcasted all Sundays at 21:00.
JANUARY 25th 2007, THURSDAY
"Nameless" will be the opening band at the "Lizard Pub" of Capriva del Friuli (GO) on Saturday February 17th.
JANUARY 16TH 2007, TUESDAY
A new date has been scheduled: Overtures will play at the "Lizard Pub" of Capriva del Friuli (GO)
on February 17th 2007, Saturday. Soon an opening band will be announced.
JANUARY 6TH 2007, SATURDAY
The first match of the "12th Mastro Rock Contest" will be
on January 9th 2007, Friday. Overtures will play with the pop/rock band
"Acropolis". As usual the show will begin at 22:00 and last until
midnight. Both public and a jury will choose the winner. Other shows of
the contest, where the sixteen bands enrolled will challenge each other, will be every Friday from January 12th 2007.
